In HASTE: Broken World, items are power-ups that the player can acquire during a run. These items significantly impact the player’s core attributes: HP, Speed, Energy, and Sparks. ****Making each run easier and creating unique synergies that enhance the gameplay experience.
- Item Types:
- Active: Items that the player can manually activate using Ability key. These typically have a cooldown (CD) between uses.
- Passive: Items that provide continuous effects without player activation.
- Repeating: Items that automatically trigger their effects periodically.
- Triggered: Items that activate under specific conditions, such as achieving a certain Landing or Close Call.
- Cooldown: Active and repeating items may have a cooldown period, determining how frequently they can be used or triggered.
- Luck: Item’s has a unique Luck attribute, which influences the frequency of item effects. The Luck value modifies the probability of an item’s effect activating, increasing or decreasing the likelihood depending on the item’s purpose.
- Item Cost: Items available in the Shop have a cost based on a base price
modified by the player's current Shard progression level. Additionally, buffs and debuffs affecting item prices can influence the final cost, making items cheaper or more expensive depending on the player’s current state.
Items in the game are divided into four rarity categories, affecting their frequency of appearance:
- Green: Common items, most frequently encountered.
- Blue: Rare items, with a moderate appearance rate.
- Purple: Very rare items, encountered infrequently.
- Rainbow: Incredibly rare items, almost never encountered, but highly impactful.
